We are still here and still together. That is the only thing that I really feel the need to put out there. We have struggled with our reunion since the separation in some ways, but have found strength in the goals that we share and the love of our family that we share. I guess that answers the "what are we focused on" question with, 'things we share'. We are putting our best efforts into the marriage, and aside from that, the house is being improved; new floors, the spare time is being filled with activities that bring smiles; mostly roller coasters and fun "exercise" walking around various entertaining places, and all other time is spent learning and laughing and enjoying our family; a.k.a being together. I am still going to school, but I am very close to my first Bachelor Degree (Math), and the second (Physics) should be close behind. Given the things that we have faced and are facing this is the best method we have discovered to work toward our very simple goals, without losing hope. We are not asking for much of life and we find that the harder we work toward happiness, the closer we become. More posts and pictures will hopefully follow.
some quotes that I like...
"Things are not what they seem; nor are they otherwise." Shurangama Sutra
"The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them." Thomas Merton
"Situations are easier to enter than to exit; it is only common sense to look for the way out before venturing in." Aesop
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world; the point is to change it." Karl Marx
"The way of the warrior has been misunderstood as a means to kill and destroy others. Those who seek competition are making a grave mistake. To smash, injure or destroy is the worst sin a human being can commit. The true way of the warrior is to prevent slaughter- it is the art of peace, the power of love." Morihei Ueshiba
"Remember that what you have now was once among the things you only hoped for." Eicurus
"Happiness cannot be found in great effort and willpower, but it is already there in relaxation and letting go." Lama Gendun Rinpoche
"Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for truth." Benjamin Disraeli
"Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to your span of life?" Matthew 6:27
"Your cannot have a proud and chivalrous spirit if your conduct is mean and paltry; for whatever your actions are, such must be your spirit. " Demosthenes
"For believe me: the secret for harvesting from existence the greatest fruitfulness and greatest enjoyment is- to live dangerously." Friedrich Nietzsche
