what's up...

I have been swearing I would make time to finish posting the pictures from our vacation. I also wanted to talk about how school is going. I suppose I'll tackle the easy part first. School is great, I am thoroughly enjoying it despite being extremely busy. Taylor is able to understand the physics better than half of my class, and can do most of the algebra so far. Using my own homework for my teaching responsibilities is helping me keep up with everything. I have a B in physics (only from one test score) but since the class average on the only test we've taken was 65, I guess the B will do, for now. I have gotten A's on all the other tests, but still don't have any grades in my American History class. The babies aren't loving daycare but, they are cheerfully tolerating it. I probably hate it more than they do, and have been picking them up as early as possible most days. I had to pull a few "all nighters" because of this, but it is worth it. Trevor actually wrote, yes wrote his name, by him self. Well, he wrote TROR, but still! And, we were driving down the interstate discussing my last physics class when Taylor floored me by defining "impulse" before we even discussed it together. I just said, "...there is this other term that we have to think about when we discuss momentum, it is impulse. It means..." He interrupted saying, "I know what that is!" I thought, "Oh, boy, this should be funny." But, I said, "Oh, what is it?" And, he knew, for real, and accurately explained it, then provided an example! I couldn't believe it. I don't know why I haven't gotten used to this type of thing from him, but I still get shocked every time. I am proud of course, but sometimes I feel like they learn faster than I realize. I often feel that I am teaching behind their abilities. They learn somethings before I "teach" them, then look at me like, "duh" when I try to tell them about it. It is really great, and a little overwhelming. Jewel is even starting to sound very "big girlish" and that makes me a little sad. So, things are going good and as soon as I get used to it I will start making videos again. Maybe this weekend, I will also try to finish posting the pictures from vacation.
