Originally, I posted this with no captions. But, a change of templates made the pics go haywire. So I am copying the captions from the post I made later. (long, boring story) I had to add more text (not your problem, i know) so the captions are really just scattered in. So, here are the captions. Well, they are in order, but I skipped some of the pictures. You can have fun guessing where they go, or write your own...

37.we stayed out too late!

Mimi and Big Daddy were calling us from the patio here, when they learned that their granddaughter was actually a boy! That was two weeks before he was born, and about 3 weeks after Mimi had purchased the beautiful pink crib set that I picked out. Go figure. Luckily we got to use it eventually.

I have hours of video of Trevor at one, running on the beach naked. And although there weren't waves this time. I did get to body board while pregnant with both babies. Hopefully, there will be waves in September.

Jewel was not afraid of the waves nearly enough to stay safe. But, Trevor wouldn't go near them. That is more strange when you see the pictures of him playing happily in the waves last year.

We always have more fun with the kids. But, Taylor and Morlynn are at camp. Before they were old enough for camp, they were the inspiration for pirate stories and treasure hunts. In fact, the first time I went on the Lawhon family Daytona vacation, Trent's family drew a treasure map and made up a story to trick Taylor.

Even including the waiter at the restaurant. He told the then, 4 yo, that a pirate had stopped by with this map and a message for him. From then on, my son was a pirate and the battles with Billy Bones have been ever changing. Including a year the he was actually, really scared. And, last year Billy Bones stole the treasure back right from Taylor's room at home. Then, we found it again on the beach.

When we go back in Sept. Taylor will go, and I am sure Billy Bones will visit too. Taylor and Morlynn used to watch every light off the coast at night, as if any one of them could be a pirate ship. And, Big Daddy's stories didn't help calm such fears. Morlynn even skipped a year, because the treasure hunt night was too scary.

I was a little disappointed that no pirates appeared this time. It will be fun to see what Trevor thinks of the hunt, now that he can understand the ideas behind it.

Another atypical tidbit about this year is that usually the sisters and their hubbies are with us too. But, they couldn't make it this time.

In general, it is difficult to keep Trevor with us when his Mimi and Big Daddy are around. Thank goodness they have to work sometimes or I might never see him.

38.Last call; digging to the end.
